Please read this policy carefully. By using MyCity311, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Submitted reports, including their category, description, location, and any attached photos, may be visible to other users of the Service and to the general public. Do not include sensitive personal information in your report descriptions.
We may share information with third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service, including cloud hosting providers and analytics services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose.
Where we have established agreements with city governments or municipal agencies, we may share report data with those partners for the purpose of addressing the reported issues. We will disclose which cities are active partners within the app.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or investigate fraud.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
The Service requests access to your device's location services to automatically populate the location of a reported issue. Location access is requested only at the time of report submission. You may deny location access and enter a location manually. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
The Service requests camera and photo library access only when you choose to attach a photo to a report. We do not access your camera or photo library at any other time.
We retain submitted reports and associated data for a period of up to 3 years from the date of submission, after which it is deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@mycity311.co.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@mycity311.co.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact privacy@mycity311.co.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your data. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the Service.

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
